We use information to operate the FireSonic website, process download requests, provide licenses and support, prevent abuse, and send optional product updates when you ask for them. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
1. Scope
This Privacy Notice applies to the FireSonic website, download-request workflow, support communications, and related online services operated under the FireSonic name.
It does not describe how a customer processes healthcare data inside its own FireSonic deployment. Customers remain responsible for their own deployments, data-processing activities, security controls, and legal obligations.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you request FireSonic Community Edition or the Developer SDK, contact us, report an issue, or ask for support, we may collect information such as:
- first name and last name;
- email address;
- organization, if provided;
- role or professional area;
- the requested FireSonic package;
- use cases and project context you choose to provide;
- your choice to receive optional FireSonic product news, release updates, and upgrade announcements;
- support messages, feedback, and other information you send to us;
Technical and security information
Our systems may also process technical information needed to operate, understand, and protect the service, including IP address, request timestamps, browser or user-agent information, security events, rate-limit information, download activity, approximate country or region derived from network information, and basic first-party page-view analytics such as the page path and a sanitized referrer.
Analytics does not include URL query parameters, email addresses, user IDs, verification tokens, download tokens, Turnstile tokens, localStorage identifiers, or browser fingerprints. Referrers are reduced to origin and path before they are sent.
We may use anti-abuse, email-verification, CAPTCHA, hosting, and security services. Those services may receive the technical information needed to perform their function.
The public website and download form are not intended for protected health information, medical records, or other clinical data. If a support case requires sensitive data, contact us first so an appropriate method can be agreed.
3. How we use information
We may use information to:
- process and verify download requests;
- send secure download links, license information, and package-related messages;
- provide technical support and respond to questions;
- protect the website and download service from abuse, automated requests, disposable-email abuse, fraud, and security threats;
- operate, troubleshoot, and improve FireSonic services;
- maintain security and operational records;
- send optional FireSonic product news, release updates, and upgrade announcements when you have explicitly chosen to receive them;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, our bases may include taking steps at your request, performing an agreement, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, your consent, and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this notice, including download administration, license records, support, security, abuse prevention, and legal obligations.
Security and operational logs may be retained for a limited period appropriate to troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
If you opt in to FireSonic product news and release updates, we may retain that preference and your contact information until you withdraw your consent or the information is no longer needed for that purpose.
6. Your choices and rights
You can opt out of optional FireSonic product emails at any time. Transactional emails needed for registration, verification, licensing, download access, security, or support are independent of this optional marketing preference.
Depending on your location, privacy law may give you rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a privacy request. Some information may need to be retained where required for security, legal, licensing, or record-keeping reasons.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information handled by our website and download systems. No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Changes to this notice
We may update this Privacy Notice as the FireSonic website and services evolve. The effective date at the top of this page shows when this version became applicable.
9. Contact
