Windows PowerShell

Calculate the SHA-256 hash of the downloaded file:

Get-FileHash .\<downloaded-file> -Algorithm SHA256

Linux

Calculate the SHA-256 hash of the downloaded file:

sha256sum <downloaded-file>

macOS

Calculate the SHA-256 hash of the downloaded file:

shasum -a 256 <downloaded-file>

Why verify against firesonic.io?

The checksum is published separately from the download email. Compare your local hash with this page before using the package. A checksum supplied only in the same email as a download would not provide an independent reference.
